[homelab DESIGN ALIGNMENT — CLEAN TASK CONTEXT BOUNDARY] Provisional alignment from relay summary: (1) YES to stable monitored lane identity/role plus replaceable harness process/session generation per unrelated task and elastic leased burst lanes. Stable lane identity MUST NOT imply stable conversational authority. (2) Ownership: Coordinator is sole authority for assignment FSM, leases/fences, generation, transition receipts, quarantine, and RUNNING; runtime adapters own versioned spawn/reset/identity/generation/idle/foreground/checkpoint/injection/ACK/stop/staging capability probes and process mechanics; Gateway/transport only carries generation-bound envelopes and cannot mark state or confer authority; roster/fleet control plane owns declared lane/runtime capabilities, not observed assignment state. (3) Pi/Claude/Codex/OpenCode reset semantics are untrusted unless exact runtime+version probes prove a distinct conversation identity and generation; unknown/ambiguous fails closed. No command-name assumptions. (4) YES: mandate fresh process replacement initially. In-process /clear or /new is a later adapter capability enabled only by adversarial proof equivalent to replacement, with checkpoint/recovery and stale-generation rejection. (5) Use a SEPARATE parent epic: this is cross-cutting Coordinator/session-generation authority, broader than #758 M5 configuration and #766 comms repair. Link #758 as fleet identity/lifecycle prerequisite and #766 as exact generation-bound comms dependency/consumer; do not expand either current scope. Proposed child order matches your sequence: contract+threat model -> capability registry/probes -> Coordinator FSM -> stable-lane replacement -> elastic TTL leases -> monitoring/E2E -> isolated canary/rollback. Full packet path /home/hermes/... is USC-host-local and unavailable on W-jarvis; relay the document content or a content-addressed accessible artifact before final threat-model signoff. Design only; no code, issue mutation, or live authority.
