Follow-up from Duckworth's row 294 round 1 static approval (#1800 comment 30998, N4). user-bus.mjs is a ~40-line copy from webui bus.mjs, kept apart because channel-proof.test pins bus.mjs by sha256. Fold it back in the same window as the next Mos-approved channel-proof re-pin; behavior unchanged. Brief: docs/plans/2026-10-23_r6-followup-rows.md, "Brief: R6-N4". Owner Launchpad, reviewer Duckworth, after row 294. Filed by Sage as jarvis.

Duckworth row 301 round 1 (duckworth-0263), from duckworth/rows300-301 3bc2793cc, posted by Sage:

Row 301 (R6-N4, #1808) round 1: manifest review (duckworth-0263)

Reviewer: Duckworth. Builder: Launchpad. Request: launchpad-0098.
Brief: docs/plans/2026-10-23_r6-followup-rows.md, "Brief: R6-N4". Source: my row 294 round 1 N4.
Candidate: launchpad/row301 at 04a179740 (fd4b8c36e, 04a179740) on e551cd846. Manifest digest
def28197cc28fdd63caf673bf671b7b20852b9d9ec4d8fb9c53371c6d932ee0c, five paths. DELETED.txt names
packages/webui/src/user-bus.mjs.
Method: git reads only. No node, no tests.

Verdict: APPROVE, with C1 and C2

  • All five manifest hashes equal the blobs at 04a179740, and the file hashes to the stated digest.
user-bus.mjs is gone at 04a179740, as DELETED.txt says.
  • The fold is a move. git diff -U0 e551cd846 04a179740 -- packages/webui/src/bus.mjs removes no
lines. It adds import { fileURLToPath } from 'node:url' at :13, plus 57 lines after busReader.
Compared with the old user-bus.mjs, the only differences are these:
    • The header comment is rewritten. "Kept apart from bus.mjs" goes, and "moved here" comes in.
    • The four imports bus.mjs already had are dropped: spawn, randomBytes, readHostState and
      BusReadError.
    • One trailing blank line is added.
USER_CLI, userCall, busBusiness and userCaller are unchanged. humanCall and busCaller are
      untouched.
  • Imports. cli.mjs and granted-user.test.mjs:22 now take the same names from bus.mjs. Launchpad
reports that Mos ruled the test edit an import update, not an old-test change. No assertion
changes. console-bus.mjs changes one comment word. No file in packages/ or scripts/ still imports
user-bus.mjs. The only other hit is the agent-watch "user-bus" stub, which is the systemd user bus
and unrelated. No copy or runner list names user-bus.mjs.
  • The pin. channel-proof.test.mjs:29 changes from 15e8123f…3313, which equals bus.mjs at
e551cd846, to 39fcb27c…ad6c, which equals bus.mjs at 04a179740. It adds one comment line. No other
test pins a hash of bus.mjs, cli.mjs, console-bus.mjs or the two test files. The re-pin is an
old-test change. It rests on mos-1449 under mos-1272, as Launchpad reports it. I haven't seen
    mos-1449 myself.
  • Behavior is unchanged. The 294 user-transport tests in granted-user.test.mjs keep their bodies,
and only the import line moves.

Conditions

  • C1. The rebase. Sage lands 305 first and names a new tip. If the rebase changes any manifest
blob, or the base bus.mjs no longer hashes to 15e8123f, send the new manifest. A digest-only
change needs a git-read check from me before the gate.
  • C2. The gate. On Sage's CLEAR: channel-proof.test, the webui suite and granted-user.test run
whole. The brief puts this in the same window as the next channel-proof re-pin. Sage owns the
    timing.

Duckworth row 301 round 2 (duckworth-0276), from duckworth/rows300-301 790aa7550, posted by Sage:

Row 301 (R6-N4, #1808) round 2: fixture delta review (duckworth-0274)

Reviewer: Duckworth. Builder: Launchpad. Request: launchpad-0115. Ruling: mos-1451 under mos-1272.
Candidate: launchpad/row301 at acc97fb9c, a fast-forward from 04a179740. Manifest digest
6e1e4fcd14dad3b9923f6859a6e8a5f0bb3a46e7b04d2245b8fbdd020bda05d2, seven paths. DELETED.txt still
names packages/webui/src/user-bus.mjs.
Method: git reads of local objects only. No node, no tests, no fetch.

Verdict: APPROVE, with C1

  • All seven manifest hashes equal the blobs at acc97fb9c, and the file hashes to the stated digest.
The five round 1 paths keep their round 1 hashes. The two new paths are
    packages/webui/tests/library-cli.test.mjs (7e782c2b…) and
    packages/webui/tests/thread-claims.test.mjs (dd1e62d1…).
  • The delta is the ruled text. git diff 04a179740 acc97fb9c -- packages/ changes one line in
each test, library-cli.test.mjs:17 and thread-claims.test.mjs:58. Each appends exactly
    export const busBusiness=()=>{throw Error('busBusiness outside --sso')};export const userCaller=()=>{throw Error('userCaller outside --sso')};
to its busSource template string. No assertion, comment or other byte changes. The added text
has no backtick, ${ or backslash, so the template literal carries it as written.
  • The stubs stay unreached. cli.mjs calls busBusiness (:98) and userCaller (:103) only inside
if (ssoOn) (:91). Neither test passes --sso. The only --sso hits in either file are the stub
error strings. If a later change reaches them outside --sso, they throw, so the test fails loudly
rather than passing on a null.
  • Stub sweep (the round 1 miss). At acc97fb9c two tests swap a module by URL in a load hook
and match bus.mjs: library-cli.test.mjs:21 and thread-claims.test.mjs:61. Both also stub
serve.mjs. With serve.mjs stubbed, cli.mjs pulls these names from bus.mjs:
    • cli.mjs:5 takes busCaller, busBusiness and userCaller.
    • chat.mjs:7 (via cli.mjs:3 and console-bus.mjs:5) takes BusReadError.
Each stub now exports all four. console-bus.mjs and access.mjs import nothing from bus.mjs.
chat-http.mjs and serve.mjs take sendOutcome, subjectOk and busStatus, but serve.mjs is stubbed
in both tests and cli.mjs doesn't import chat-http.mjs. No test stubs user-bus.mjs. The
remaining user-bus mentions are comments in channel-proof.test.mjs:28 and bus.mjs:78.
  • Row 300 coupling. I checked row 300's test at a00b25b37. user-option-swap.test.mjs imports
userOptionsFor and BusReadError from the real modules, and its hook touches only
serve.mjs?gate=open. Row 301 changes only a comment word in console-bus.mjs, so either landing
    order works.
  • BUILD.md: the re-pin section is repaired. The run 1 record and the ruling match launchpad-0115
and sage-3415. The record cites the cli.mjs line numbers correctly. Doc only.

Round 1 correction

Round 1 (duckworth-0263) said the fold was safe because nothing else imports user-bus.mjs. It
missed that two old tests replace bus.mjs by URL with a source that exported only BusReadError and
busCaller. I grepped importers, not hook sources. Run 1 on 04a179740 went 372/2 on those two tests.

Conditions

  • C1 Sage's gate on acc97fb9c: webui suite whole 374/0, channel-proof.test 2/0,
granted-user.test 19/0. Any other red stops the gate and goes to Mos. Round 1's C1 (rebase
recheck) still applies if any of the seven blobs change.

Any other red stops the gate and goes to Mos. Round 1's C1 (rebase recheck) still applies if any of the seven blobs change.

Landed on refactor as bb031ec84, 59f0e44f4, 5b846b048 (from launchpad/row301 acc97fb9c, range-diff equal, patch-ids checked). user-bus.mjs is folded into webui bus.mjs and deleted; the channel-proof re-pin of bus.mjs to 39fcb27c is its own commit 59f0e44f4 (mos-1449 under mos-1272); library-cli and thread-claims bus.mjs stubs export throwing busBusiness and userCaller (mos-1451). Gate: Duckworth approved round 2 (comment 31159, rev 3560); Sage gate: channel-proof 2/0, webui 374/0 (pinned esbuild, no skips), granted-user 19/0. No live change; live is 464010fbe at 3n, and 301 makes its own re-pin window. Queue row 301 done (revs 3563/3564). Closing.

Live as of the re-pin window 464010fbe to 45dca69f6 on dragon-lin (activation 20261023T185911Z-45dca69f6e4b, pointer ok at 2026-10-23 18:59:17Z UTC). Darkwing operated under Q173 with Mos's W5 go (mos-1493). The schema is 3n on both sides, so there was no migration. W5 backed up the stopped store (SCHEMA 3n, SHA256SUMS 87bd9381). Row 301 (bb031ec84, 59f0e44f4) now runs live. p456.sh r301 passed against NEW's copy and the live copy: the channel-proof pin on webui bus.mjs is 604092cb, the sha256 of the live bus.mjs. P0 to P6, B0, W0 to W6, W9 and W10 passed. The W10 matrix on 7332 equals the pre-window one, and line a is healthz 200 ok=true. Condition 11 held: 0 user threads at W0, W1 and W6, and no access.json. D2: the 5 tester threads read the same after W5, revoke claims 0, and 0 thread-revoked lines since W5. There was no rollback, restore or prune. STATE report: agents/darkwing/work/window-repin-45dca69f6/STATE.md on branch darkwing/window-repin-45dca69f6.
