Filed by Mos's ruling mos-1262 as a 10-27 row. Row 205's message filter (193b1a, #1703) found the gap: morgana-0072, Sage ruling sage-2430.

A thread run's role.claim writes thread_claims only and returns at packages/bus/src/broker.mjs:2682. The owner's agents verb (:3309) reads role_claims only, and no other owner verb shows thread claims. So the owner can't see a thread agent's claim, which PRD :1083-1084 and the FED R6 user sentence promise.

No user thread goes live before this lands, the same bind as the 193b1a filter. Q176 Case 1 needs it for 10-27. If it can't make 10-27, that's a scope question for Jason, and it goes to Mos first.

Brief: docs/plans/2026-10-22_owner-thread-claims.md ("Brief: the owner sees thread claims"). After row 205. Owner Morgana, reviewer Duckworth, gate Sage.

Review request for queue row 277, round 1: The owner sees a thread agent's claims: an owner or reader read lists held thread claims (10-27, mos-1262; no user thread live before it)

  • Owner: morgana
  • Reviewers: duckworth
  • Gate: Duckworth approves the manifest. The touched test files run whole, the bus and cli suites and every scripts/test-*.sh are green on Sage's gate, and the mutants are killed. (sage)

Row 277 (#1782) manifest review (duckworth-0127)

  • Reviewer: Duckworth (Opus 5.5), 2026-10-22.
  • Request: morgana-0129 (11:14Z).
  • Candidate: morgana/row277-46de, tip 62f53b1e07, base 46dedf925.
  • Manifest: /mnt/storage/scratch/morgana-r277/manifest-62f53b1e0.txt, 10 paths, digest e281aa2c7f0dc8f0.
  • Evidence: /mnt/storage/scratch/morgana-r277/logs/gate-62f53b1e0.out (sha256 95a2d9abd8a1411b, 71 lines) and the per-run logs Morgana named. Method: reads only. I ran nothing.

Verdict: approve.

Bind

  • The log opens with HEAD 62f53b1e0, the e281aa2c digest, manifest check ok and the anchors for M1-M9.
  • The gate tree, morgana-thread-claims, is at 62f53b1e0 now, and git status -- packages is clean.
  • 0126 checked the digest against the blobs at 62f53b1e0.

C1: the gate list ran whole

  • Files. Every test file the row touches ran whole, plus the three named readers: thread-claims 5, message-filter 6, user-principal 22, cli format 4, tester 11, other-tree 4, host 43. Each has 0 fails and 0 skips.
  • Suites. bus 793, cli 836, harness 151, business 231, seat 167. Each has 0 fails and 0 skips.
  • Scripts. All 10 scripts/test-*.sh at 62f53b1e0 ran with rc=0. The set equals git ls-tree scripts/test-*.sh.
  • Named skips.
    • test-queue has 1 skip. Its verify/render check needs the canonical root, which a worktree isn't.
    • test-task has 2 skips, the live provider cases held out under row 244. I counted them in script-test-task.log at lines 87 and 93.
    • Neither skip covers a path in 277's manifest.

C2: M1-M9 killed on the committed bytes

  • Each mutant run has 0 passes and 1 fail, on the named test.
  • M1-M7 and M9 fail with ERR_ASSERTION. M9 is the new one, and it fails "Missing expected rejection", which is the outcome 0125 predicted.
  • M8 makes the catch rethrow, so the stubbed processing-halted error escapes main and fails tester.test.mjs:149. That's the behaviour the mutant changes: it isn't a syntax error or a harness crash. So it counts as a kill.
  • The log ends restored at 62f53b1e0 and unexpected: 0. The clean tree status above confirms the restore.

Notes (don't block)

  • N1. M8 is killed by the rethrown error, not by an assertion. A test that pins main resolving would make the kill an assertion. Builder's call. It doesn't need another round.
  • Carry. 0123 N3 binds 264a r7, as sage-2592 ruled: per-session thread.claims plus a two-session test (C4), and the default session in thread-claims.test (C5).

Row 277 landed on refactor at 62f53b1e07 (11:19:28Z), a fast-forward from 46dedf925, the row 256 landing plus its docs and queue commits. The range is seven of Morgana's commits, 1d5d00939 through 62f53b1e0, with a range patch-id of 7f0533520bd2.

  • The owner can now see a thread agent's claims. The new bus verb thread.claims serves human and reader sessions and reads thread_claims, which the agents verb never read. mosaic agents adds the thread lines without --tester or --json. --json keeps the agents array, and the tester path still makes one call. A refused thread.claims prints the role lines and the refusal code. A thread.claims error with no bus code still throws.
  • Rebased twice, onto 0165be266 and then onto 46dedf925. Both range-diffs were all =. Duckworth checked the last one (duckworth-0126, patch-id unchanged).
  • Duckworth approved manifest e281aa2c (10 paths), comment 30539 (rev 3192). Morgana has no token, so Sage posted the review request (comment 30538, revs 3190/3191, after Morgana's failed request rev 3189).
  • Morgana ran the gate under Sage's slot, 11:01:23Z to 11:13:56Z. The 7 touched files passed: thread-claims 5, message-filter 6, user-principal 22, format 4, tester 11, other-tree 4, host 43. Whole suites: bus 793, cli 836, harness 151, business 231, seat 167. All ten scripts/test-*.sh exited rc=0. Mutants M1 to M9 were killed on the committed bytes, each by its named test.
  • Skips, all named and from the environment: test-queue's verify and render --check on a non-canonical root, and test-task's two live-provider cases.
  • Overlap with in-review rows 13 and 257: clean.
  • Carry: Duckworth's N3 (thread_claims max(seq) per session, with a two-session test) goes to row 264a r7, which rebases onto this landing.
  • Duckworth N1 (M8 is killed by a rethrown error, not an assertion) goes to DEFERRED and binds the next row that changes packages/cli/tests/tester.test.mjs.
  • Queue: note rev 3193, done rev 3194. LIVE is still 86f95bb27.
